This week’s words for Wordy Wednesday are brought to you by Cassandra’s word calendar. I need to get me one of these creations!
# 1) Oppugn: (verb) to attack with criticism.
Example: In the middle of her monologue where she attempted to oppugn his integrity, he arrived. Most importantly, he arrived on time and with grace as opposed to her prediction.
# 2) Fustian: (adjective) pompous or bombastic.
Example: Her explanation as to why her homework was not completed on time was fustian, earning her an F.
# 3) Coadunate: (adjective) joined, grown together.
Example: We have a coadunate cherry tree with five varieties blended into the one plant.
