In an effort to expand my own vocabulary, I am continuing on my endeavour to participate in “Wordy Wednesday”. I have, however, decided that I’m not going to do this every week. Rather, I will aim to do it every other week. I use the words as inspired by colleagues, friends, articles and novels… And really from anywhere.
# 1) Disquisition: (noun) a long or elaborate essay or discussion on a particular subject.
Example: Glen often engages in detailed disquisitions with his friends and family when they are near to listen.
# 2) Filigree: (noun) ornamental work of fine (typically gold or silver) wire formed into delicate tracery.
Example: The dining ware was etched with the most exquisite filigree that matched the wall hangings perfectly.
# 3) Conviviality: (noun) the quality of being friendly and lively; friendliness.
Example: He was selected to run the social outings because of his convivial nature and constant desire to interact with the world around him.
Thanks for coming out for another Wordy Wednesday!
